Version 7 of SuperCAD and SuperPCB ReleasedOn October 1, 2006 new 32-bit versions of SuperCAD and SuperPCB were released. Both programs include the following new features:
The improved file format handling greatly simplifies sharing designs and getting technical support because the library parts can be extracted from just the schematic or artwork file. The library description feature allows you to describe what's in the library without having to browse through all the parts in it. In SuperPCB design-rule checking and netlisting have been improved, taking in to account polygon and filled rectangles. This update is especially important if you are using flood fill ground or voltage regions on your circuit board. SuperPCB also adds a new point to point measuring function in the library editor. To use the function, you draw a measuring line between the two points of interest and release the mouse button. The distance is displayed on the status line in either inches or centimeters. See the V7 summary for a detailed list of revisions incorporated in the new software. If you purchased SuperCAD or SuperPCB within the last 3 years, you can upgrade to the current V7 ones for $75 (upgrade both SuperCAD and SuperPCB, or any combination package, for $150); call or email for other upgrade pricing.
